Inspiration Behind this Modern Crochet Bag Pattern
I recently became obsessed with the Tunisian crossed stitch and decided it would look amazing on a bag pattern! I’ve always loved the versatility of crossbody bags which is why I decided on this style. I started experimenting with different Tunisian crochet stitches until I landed on the bobble stitch. It has been a while since I’ve Tunisian crocheted the bobble stitch! It is so fun to work up and I couldn’t be happier with how these contrasting panels of the purse worked up!
This Tunisian crochet pattern is for a fun textured Tunisian crochet purse that can be completed by an advanced beginner! This project is a great way to practice some basic Tunisian crochet stitches while adding a trendy purse to your Spring wardrobe!
We Crochet Official graciously provided the yarn for this design! I used their Shine Worsted yarn in Blush, the most gorgeous pink perfect for Spring! Thanks so much for the yarn support!
Shine Worsted Modal® natural beech wood fiber gives high quality Pima cotton an elegant sheen and soft drape while minimizing pilling and stretching. This very appealing yarn can be used in any of your favorite designs calling for worsted weight yarn. Supremely comfortable for warm weather garments, and the easy care of machine washability makes it the perfect choice for spring and summer crochet projects. Shine is excellent for showing off textured stitches and cables as seen below. I absolutely loved working with it, It was super soft and had a great sheen to it. I also loved the drape! It just glides so smoothly on my Cruella Deville Furls Tunisian crochet hook. You can grab some Shine worsted here or by clicking below.
