Meet Noorain Nizami
Your happy place for all things tunisian crochet.
A lifelong maker with a soft spot for Tunisian crochet and cozy textures, Noorain Nizami is the creative spirit behind Noor’s Knits, designed especially for crafters who love all things Tunisian crochet. When she first started this journey, she had a very active and adorable toddler and now she’s been blessed with a baby girl! They are her inspiration for making cute knitted and crocheted children’s pieces! Read more about how her mompreneur life came together here. Since launching this business, she has evolved into so many more roles including an educator, designer, and more!
From the satisfying rhythm of her crochet hooks to clicking sounds of knitting needles, her workspace is a happy chaos of yarn bundles, crochet hooks, knitting needles, and swatches. She believes crafting isn’t just about the finished product—it’s about the joy of the process, the thrill of learning something new, and the pride in saying, “I made that.”

Noorain’s Motto?
There’s no such thing as too much yarn.
Things Noorain Loves
Because every great maker has their go-to tools, favorite snacks, and guilty pleasures…
- Favorite Crafting Tool: Size 8 mm Tunisian crochet hook
- Material She Can’t Resist Buying (Even When She Doesn’t Need It): Pretty and squishy yarn, especially chainette metallic yarn!
- Go-To Creative Snack: Anything crunchy, her go-to is Plantain chips/Taro root chips or a nice banana bread/biscotti
- Most Likely to Be Found Wearing: A cozy hoodie or something she made
- Playlist While Crafting: Soothing slow music, funny show (The Office, Parks and Rec, Abbot Elementary), mystery/suspense/thought-provoking/crime shows (The Handmaid’s Tale, Law & Order SVU)
- Craft She Keeps Coming Back To: Tunisian crochet—simple, satisfying, and full of charm
- Secret Obsession: Knitting (it’s a vibe especially when she needs to slow down); Photography, Coloring, Diamond Dots, Writing Poetry
- Dream Project: Designing more garments for children especially!
- Words She Lives By: “Done is better than perfect… especially when it’s handmade.”
