I am so excited to announce that in the month of October, Hortense from Knitting With Chopsticks and I will be hosting the Charity Cozy Fall Makealong! Both of us have personal stories that led us to host this event to create awareness and to raise some funds for the charity Cure Childhood Cancer.

How the Charity Cozy Fall MAL will work:

Each weekday from Oct. 4th to the 29th, we will be sharing free square patterns (one knit and one crochet square) from different designers. Make sure to come to this post and check back each day to see the squares of the day below under the “FREE Crochet Square Patterns” and “FREE Knit Square Patterns” headings.

The blanket that you’ll be making will be a truly special one. All the squares can be donated to a charity from the list provided. That’s not all, you will have the opportunity to donate to Cure Childhood Cancer by purchasing a complete bundle of all the squares at a discounted price. Fifty percent of proceeds from each bundle sale will be donated to Cure Childhood Cancer.

Cure Childhood Cancer’s mission is to help fund research for childhood cancer and support the kids and their families going through these tough times. From meals and counseling to financial assistance, CURE is committed to walking alongside families throughout their cancer journey. You can find more information over on their website here.

I love the pop of texture this braided cable knit stitch gives against the purl stitches. The alternating knit and purl stitches really create a beautiful design. The winding nature of these stitches reminds me of vines hence the name Sunny Vines Square!

Are you looking for some crochet for me and knit for me patterns to relax with? Take some time and knit or crochet just for yourself!

Although I don’t celebrate the holidays, I love crocheting and knitting gifts for my friends who do celebrate. Every year, I say I am going to make conscious decisions to start my gift crocheting early, narrow down the recipients to a number I know I can handle, and not have any crafting stress around the holidays.

Every year I make a liar out of myself. But what do I want to do the second the last dish is put away and the last snack devoured for the day? Crochet something new JUST FOR ME!

I am apparently not alone in this sentiment, so I joined 40 of my crochet designer colleagues and created the Crochet for Me Bundle. It’s chock full of 56 individual patterns, never before offered in a bundle or for free, that will give you a wide range of patterns that will suit you from head to toe.

The Crochet for Me bundle has 56 patterns for the types of projects we all want to make for ourselves, designed by more than 40 of your very favorite designers – including me. It contains projects you’ll love, from head (ear warmers and hats) to toe (socks and slippers) with a few stops along the way (sweaters, shawls and even a skirt!). You get all 56 patterns PLUS a selection of more than 20  cool additional discounts for the low, low price of $27 – less than 50 cents a pattern.

The crochet for me bundle includes my latest pattern the Lookin’ Swell ear warmer. This pattern is for a knit-like beginner-friendly Tunisian crochet ear warmer in toddler, child, and adult sizes that can be completed in 1 hour. It’s the perfect ear warmer to practice the basic Tunisian knit stitch! A huge thank you to my testers: @mickylathemaker, @sarahsyarn, @made_with_love_by_steffi, @burst_of_creativiti, @miashimo

The best part is that the Lookin’ Swell Ear Warmer is a one-skein project and works up super fast. You can even make a matching one for your little ones as well.

Want to see what else is included in the Crochet for Me Bundle?

Check out what’s in the Crochet for Me Bundle!

But the offer is only available through December 31, 2020, 11:59 PM Eastern, and it absolutely will not be extended nor repeated.

If you purchased these patterns individually they would cost you well over $200. And by buying from a coalition of designers like this instead of a huge publisher, you know that your money is going where it’s needed – into the pockets of your favorite designers so they can keep on creating the patterns you love to make.

If all of that is not enough to convince you you need this bundle here’s one more great thing. Once you gain access to the patterns you ALSO get a file with extra discount codes for additional products offered by some of our amazing designer friends. Baby Knitting Patterns – Silver Lining Bonnet

Looking for baby knitting patterns? Here is a luxurious baby bonnet knitting pattern perfect for a boy or girl! Check out this velvet Silver Lining Bonnet!

Baby knitting patterns are my favorite type of patterns as of late. Recently, while working with Lion Brand Vel-luxe yarn I decided to create something that is soft, luxurious, and perfect for babies. That’s when my head literally went into the clouds! The Silver Lining Bonnet comes from the inspiration of puffy clouds with a silver lining against a backdrop of velvety luxe yarn. Then you finish it off with a big pom and some cords with tassels to tie the bonnet! I am so happy with the way it looks, it is a sweet bonnet with a vintage style.
