ABOUT THIS MODERN CROCHET SCARF PATTERN:

This pattern is for an intermediate textured Tunisian crochet entrelac scarf! It’s the perfect accessory for your Fall wardrobe. Practice some basic Tunisian crochet stitches while creating a cozy yet sophisticated scarf! The best part is you don’t need a Tunisian crochet hook for the scarf!

I used three beautiful stitches to create a textured look. The scarf has alternating blocks of Tunisian simple stitch, honeycomb stitch, purl stitch, and the crossed stitch. This would be the perfect statement scarf for Thanksgiving dinner! The written pattern PDF comes complete with a full step-by-step photo tutorial as well as supplemental video tutorials.

This pattern was tech edited by Erin from Yarn Matter.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Yarn:
Hobbii Portobello Yarn approximately 393 yards of each color, Size 4 worsted weight; 1.75 oz/50 g, 131 yds/120 m; 60% Cotton, 28% Acrylic, 12% Wool

Col A – Red Cedar (18)
Col B – Off White (02)
Col C – Cappuccino (10)
Col D – Cognac (17)

In my preference, some other yarns that might work well are Lion Brand Yarn Touch of Alpaca, Lion Brand Chainette. These two yarns have a similar texture and have similar colors available that would provide a similar finished look.

And according to Yarnsub.com, Yarnsmiths Pebble Haze Yarn and Cascade Yarns Cantata are two other yarn lines that might work!

Hook:
Size 6.5 mm crochet hook, I used by Furls Crochet Streamline Metal Blush hook
Size 6.5 mm Tunisian crochet hook (used only for gauge swatch), some of my favorite Tunisian crochet hooks are the Clover Takumi Interchangeable hooks or the Denise Interchangeable Tunisian crochet hooks.
