This pattern uses a few Tunisian crochet techniques. Use the following video tutorials as needed. You can follow along with my Tunisian crochet tutorial for beginners below.

Techniques:
Foundation Row and Tunisian Simple Stitch
How to complete Tunisian Crochet Bind Off
Surface Bobble Stitch
How to seam/join using sl st

Pattern rows are Forward pass instructions.

The following instructions are implied:
The loop already on the hook at the beginning of the row counts as the first st.
Always TSS in the last st of the row, being sure to work under both loops of the st.

Return Pass: Follow the foundation row and each row with the Return Pass in the same color.
Return Pass Instructions: Ch 1, *yarn over, pull through two loops; repeat from * until 1 loop remains on the hook.

Abbreviations:

Sl st: Slip stitch
Ch: Chain
Tss: Tunisian simple stitch
Bo: Bobble stitch
Sc: Single crochet
RetP: Return Pass

Pattern Instructions:

Ch 7 with Caron Simply Soft yarn.

Row 1 (Foundation Row): Pick up a loop in the back bump of each chain. Complete normal RetP
Row 2: Tss across, normal RetP
Continue Row 2 until the piece measures 8 in. and bind off

Repeat the above instructions 4 more times for a total of 5 panels.

Assembly:
Take two panels and hold them together with right sides facing out and sc panels together using Vel-luxe yarn. Continue joining in this way until all 5 panels are joined together.

Sc around the square with Vel-Luxe yarn – (sc, ch1, sc) into the corners.

Refer to this video tutorial for how to complete the surface bobble stitch.

First and Fifth Panel: Holding Jeans yarn and Metallic crochet thread together. Make bobbles lengthwise. Count three rows up from the foundation row and starting here, make bo into the third st from the right. Skip 1 row and make bo into next row and continue making bo in this pattern until 2 rows remain. Leave a 6 in. tail and cut yarn.

Second and Fourth Panel: Using only the metallic crochet thread, count 2 rows up and make bo in the same pattern as above but stop when there are 3 rows remaining. Leave a 6 in. tail and cut yarn.

Third Panel: Using only the Jeans yarn follow the same pattern as the first panel

Using the Vel-Luxe yarn, sc around the square completing (sc, ch1, sc) into each corner. Leave a 6 in. tail and cut yarn.

Finishing Options:
Weave in all ends and you’re done!

If you want you can complete a second square using the Caron Simply Soft yarn or equivalent size 4 worsted weight yarn as follows:

Ch 25 and complete sc rows till piece measures 8 in. and join squares with a sl st or sc join (with right sides facing out and all ends on the wrong sides) making sure to do (sc, ch1, sc) into corners.

Are you looking for an easy crochet football pattern? You’re in the right place! This Tunisian crochet football pattern works up super quick and uses only one-skein of Lily Sugar N Cream in warm brown and some scrap yarn in white! The Tunisian crochet football-themed pattern was originally inspired by my nephew who will be arriving this December! My cousin and his wife are big-time College Football fans, so much so that their baby is officially a Boomer Cougar (a product of Oklahoma Sooners and Houston Cougars)! This pattern is for a Tunisian crochet football pattern that can be made as an applique, face or body scrubby, or as a stuffie or toy! You will work flat, embroider some eyes and a smile on the front, and then sew pieces together. You can add some polyfil before closing all the way up to make it into a stuffie. I’ve also added a band at the back so you or your little one can hold onto the ball more securely! Video tutorials are included for all stitches.

Are you looking for free Halloween patterns? You’re headed in the right direction, here you’ll find many fun Halloween patterns for free including Halloween amigurumi patterns! One of these free Halloween patterns is my Skully Corn Bag – a Tunisian crochet colorwork pattern for a fun trick or treat bag for little ones! When I initially designed this bag, I just had candy corn with a face in mind. It turned into so much more! He is mister skully corn and has a goofy personality! I’ve also added some fringe at the top to give the effect of spider webs. I hadn’t intended for his head to be in the shape of a skull but I love that it turned out that way so I went with it! I hope you love making him as much as I did!
