About the Inspiration for this Crochet Animal Scarf Pattern:

My inspiration comes from winter-themed children’s clothes which usually have a polar bear on them. The moment I saw the Caron Latte Cake and Lion Brand Go For Faux yarn together in these colors, I knew they would pair perfectly for a winter crochet child scarf pattern! I tried a few different safety eyes and a nose that just didn’t look right so then I decided embroidery was the way to go! I’m very happy with the way this Tunisian crochet pattern turned out. The Lattice Stitch is becoming one of my favorite Tunisian crochet stitches (after Honeycomb of course!)

Lion Brand Yarn Go for Faux in Baked Alaska, 40 yards, (size 6 super bulky weight; 3.5 oz/100 g, 64 yd/60 m; 100% polyester)
Lion Brand Yarn Wool-Ease Thick and Quick in Black 20 yards (Size 6 super bulky weight; 6 oz./ 170g, 106 yd/97 m; 80% acrylic, 20% wool)

Hook:
Size M13 9.0 mm Tunisian crochet hook with an 8 in. cord. Grab my favorite set here.

Yarn needle
Scissors
Measuring tape

Gauge:
Gauge is 17 sts over 9 rows in Tunisian lattice stitch for a 4 x 4 in. square with Caron latte cakes using a 9.0 mm hook.

Finished Size:
The finished size is 57 in. long by 8 in. wide
