CROCHET ALONG INSPIRATION:
Somewhere I always find inspiration is in the color schemes and nursery decor I see on Pinterest. I always wanted to design something using the Wild One theme and these squares came to be just as I had imagined them! My favorite square is the first one which I released today as I kick off this fun TCAL!
I wanted this blanket to be a nice introduction to TC and decided on some fun stitches and techniques to try! I don’t want to give too much away because it is a mystery TCAL after all!

CAL MATERIALS:
Although you can use yarn from your stash, since this is a themed blanket, it’s preferable you use the same colors. I used Comfy Worsted yarn which was kindly gifted by We Crochet!
YARN:
Comfy Worsted in Thicket – (COL A) 1340 yards (Size 4 worsted weight yarn; 1.8 oz/ 50 g, 109 yds/100 m; 75% Pima Cotton, 25% Acrylic)
Comfy worsted in Parchment – (COL B) 1330 yards (Size 4 worsted weight yarn; 1.8 oz/ 50 g, 109 yds/100 m; 75% Pima Cotton, 25% Acrylic)
Comfy worsted in White – (COL C) 1480 yards (Size 4 worsted weight yarn; 1.8 oz/ 50 g, 109 yds/100 m; 75% Pima Cotton, 25% Acrylic)
I absolutely loved working with this yarn. It is a perfect cotton blend for little ones’ sensitive skin since its made up of Pima cotton and acrylic! It is super soft and I love the variety of colors provided! These colors fit my Wild One theme vision so well, it’s the perfect color scheme and I couldn’t be happier. This yarn is also machine washable and dryable which makes it perfect for little ones!
HOOK:
US 10 6 mm Tunisian hook with a 12 in. cord and stopper – I used the Radiant Wood Interchangeable Tunisian crochet hook with cord and stopper gifted from We Crochet. I absolute love this set and did a in depth review over on another blog post that you can check out here.
I love the smooth wood and the colorful mosaic style is so pretty to work with!
